![]() ![]() ![]() (it wouldn't surprise me if some of them believe in the 'lizard people" conspiracy in which the entire world is actually run by alien lizard people. Nearly all of them believe the US and international governments are "covering up" the truth that the world is flat. Think of "Under the Dome" by Stephen King. Some of these people believe a giant transparent dome which is semi-spherical encompasses the flat Earth, sort of like you might see in science fiction films where a city is being covered by a giant semi-transparent dome. From this premise emerges a wide-range of interesting fantasies. Some aspects of their "theory" which is really more like an unproven concept include the idea that the "Earth" is a round but flat disc. The first thing the documentary lays out is what the Flat-Earthers believe. There is also Bob Knodel who has a Youtube channel called "Globebusters". They broadcast a weekly video-podcast about the latest developments in the Flat-Earth movement. ![]() Most of the documentary focuses on two "celebrities" in the Flat-Earth movement: Mark Sargent and Patricia Steere. According to the documentary, members of the Flat-Earth Society (I'll call them "Flat-Earthers" for convenience), not only believe that the Earth is in fact a flat disc rather than a round sphere, but they also largely believe in myriad conspiracy theories. What I didn't know is that the numbers of adherents are growing. Before I saw this documentary, I knew a so-called Flat-Earth Society existed. ![]()
